About
The hard part isn't the migration. It's getting a straight answer.
If you've tried to move an old, self-hosted Odoo forward, you already know the real obstacle. It isn't the technical work — it's getting anyone to give you a clear, committed price, let alone actually do it. That's the problem this exists to fix.
The problem nobody names
Here's how it usually goes. You know you're overdue to upgrade. You reach out to a partner or two. You wait. Maybe you're asked to book a discovery call. Weeks pass. And what comes back is either silence, or a quote so large — and so hedged with "it depends" — that you quietly decide to limp along on the old version for another year.
So the migration never happens, not because it's impossible, but because the whole thing is wrapped in ambiguity. Will it work? What will it really cost? When will it be done? Who's on the hook if a number comes out wrong on the other side? Most providers leave every one of those questions open — and that uncertainty is exactly what keeps good businesses frozen on end-of-life software.
We take the risk, so you don't have to
We deal with the ambiguity the only honest way there is: by taking it onto ourselves.
- A quick estimate first, then one fixed price. Your current version, target version, and approximate module count are enough for the estimate. For the committed price, upload a database copy and your addons so we can inspect the actual system. We send the fixed price within 24 hours of receiving both files, before any upgrade work starts, at no charge.
- You test it before you decide. You get a login to a working copy of your own data, running on the new version. You and your team click through it yourselves.
- You pay only once you've seen it work. Not a cent up front. If something's off, it's ours to fix, not yours to pay for. There is nothing left for you to gamble on.
That's the whole idea: move the risk off your side of the table. You should never have to pay for an upgrade on faith.
Why we can work this way
Because we do exactly one thing — whole-instance upgrades of self-hosted Odoo Community — and nothing else. That focus changes everything. A general-purpose partner treats your upgrade as a fresh, bespoke project and prices in all the unknowns. The same classes of problems break on these migrations in predictable ways, and we've built a tight, repeatable process around exactly this work: carrying custom modules forward, moving the data, and checking the result to the cent.
Doing one thing many times over is why we're faster and leaner than a shop doing it occasionally — and it's why our fixed price routinely comes in well below the quote you were first handed, without cutting a single corner. We're not skipping the work; we've just stopped rediscovering it from scratch every time. (If you want the numbers, we lay out market rates versus our pricing in the guides.)
Who's behind it
Odoo Upgrade Done is run by Keski-Suomen Otto ja Pano Oy, a Finnish company (Business ID 2376890-1), led by our founder, Joona Heino (@joonaheino) — seven years deep in Odoo and close to twenty in enterprise software systems, including the very delicate financial ones where a rounding error isn't just a rounding error. Working alongside him is a tight crew of Odoo migration specialists who do this, and only this, day in and day out.
Between us we've run these migrations the slow, painful, uncertain way before, on both sides of the table. That's exactly why we've made it our whole business to take the uncertainty — and the risk — off your hands. You are not handed from sales to a rotating delivery team: the people who scope the upgrade are the people responsible for making it work. And your upgrade won't be anyone's first.

Three system details are enough for a quick estimate. Upload your database and addons when you want the committed fixed price. Both are free, with no meeting or obligation.
